The Breaktru Quick Conversion software is essentially a unit converter but beneath its rather basic and rough interface, lies a very versatile product. The software can very easily convert several units of length, capacity and weight. Rather than complicate the interface with several menus and confuse the user, Breaktru Quick Conversion 9.0 uses a simple interface that allows the user to quickly get the answer that he or she is looking for. The application window displays a box wherein the user has to enter the number that is being converted. Right next to it is a drop-down menu from which the user has to choose the original units. Now, depending on what measure is being converted – length, weight or capacity – the user has to click on the appropriate box in the lower half of the application window. Instantly, the application brings up the results for different kinds of measure. Currently, Breaktru Quick Conversion provides results for 15 length, 15 capacity and 12 weight measures. As one can imagine, this can be a handy tool to have during travel, while working on mathematical problems or for entrepreneurs who have to constantly deal with such conversions.
Though the Breaktru Quick Conversion 9.0 could do with a more attractive and sophisticated interface, it does its main job more than adequately. Further, with conversions allowed for three measures, it may be somewhat limited in its usefulness. Regardless of these drawbacks, the application in its current form is still very effective and more than makes up with the sheer ease of use and speed of conversion and thus earns a score of three rating points.
